You can order a paper-based extract of a vital statistics event (birth, death, marriage, divorce, name change) directly from the e-Population Register. When placing your order, please ensure that you request the document from the Embassy in Canberra and in the language you require. The embassy cannot change the issuing location or language of the document after it has been issued. After placing your order and paying the state fee, we recommend that you contact the embassy by email at [email protected] to inform them that you have submitted an application for the document via the e-service.

If you do not have access to the e-Population Register, you can order an extract directly from the embassy. To do this, please contact the embassy and send the required documents to [email protected].

The list of required documents is as follows:

• Application form
• A copy of the applicant’s Estonian passport with the handwritten phrase “True copy+ date + signature”
• Payment receipt confirming the state fee payment. State fees in Australian dollars are updated monthly due to exchange rate fluctuations. The updated state fee amount and the embassy’s bank account details can be found here
